CANDLE BAG REFILL INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Remove any remaining old wax from your candle pot:  To help with this, try the hot water method: Pour hot water (a little shy of boiling) into the jar, leaving room at the top. The wax will melt and float to the surface, solidifying as it cools, making it easy to remove. Once the wax is out, wash the jar thoroughly with warm, soapy water and ensure it is completely dry.
  2. Prep the Wick: Using your new wick, dip the metal base into a bit of the melted wax, then press it firmly into the middle of the pots bottom.
    • Use a wick holder or place a wooden skewer across the top of the jar to keep the wick upright and centered.
  3. Melt the Wax Our Simple Cegin Stovetop Method; open your wax bag at the top and place the bag inside a sospan to a maximum of 10cm filled hot water. Watch the wax as it melts inside the bag - you can gently stir until the wax is fully melted and clear..
  4. Pour and Cool: Carefully lift the bag and slowly from the open bag pour the hot, liquid wax into your prepared jar, stopping about 1/2 inch from the top. Leave the candle in the same position on a flat, protected surface until the wax has completely hardened, this can take several hours or overnight
  5. Finish and Cure: Once the wax is solid and cool, remove your wood wick stabilizer. Trim the wick to about 1/4 inch (0.5 cm) before its first use. For the best Natural Oil release it is recommended to let the candle set completely for at least 24 hours, or ideally 3 days, before lighting.
