PRIDE CYMRU AND GOODWASH LAUNCH OFFICIAL 2026 PRIDE CANDLE IN COLLABORATION WITH LGBTQ+ ICON ROSIE O'DONNELL

Limited-edition candle created to support Pride Cymru, with 100% of profits donated to the charity

Pride Cymru and award-winning Welsh luxury skincare and lifestyle brand Goodwash have unveiled their official Pride Cymru 2026 candle, Ffrwythau'r Enfys ("Fruits of the Rainbow"), a vibrant limited-edition product designed to celebrate equality, creativity and community while raising vital funds for LGBTQ+ causes across Wales.

Created in partnership with Pride Cymru, the candle features a bespoke fragrance blend developed by RuPaul's Drag Race UK finalist Catrin Feelings and original artwork designed exclusively for the label by internationally renowned comedian, actress, artist and LGBTQ+ advocate Rosie O'Donnell.

Importantly, 100% of profits from every candle sold will be donated directly to Pride Cymru, helping the organisation continue its work supporting and championing LGBTQ+ communities across Wales.

The project brought together a remarkable collective of creative talent, with development and filming taking place at Cardiff Bay favourite Picton & Co, long-standing supporters of Pride Cymru and the LGBTQ+ community.

To determine the official fragrance for the Pride Cymru 2026 candle, Goodwash invited two much-loved Welsh LGBTQ+ personalities to create competing scents which were then put to a public vote.

Dr Bev created Aur Auriadd ("Golden Hour"), described as a rich, sensual and sophisticated evening fragrance, while Catrin Feelings developed Ffrwythau'r Enfys, a bright, uplifting citrus blend inspired by nostalgic fruit salad sweets and joyful Pride celebrations.

After attracting more than 20,000 social media engagements, the public vote concluded with a narrow victory for Ffrwythau'r Enfys, securing 52% of the vote.

Once the winning fragrance was selected, Goodwash collaborated with Rosie O'Donnell to create the candle's final label artwork. Rosie, an accomplished artist as well as one of the world's most recognisable LGBTQ+ advocates, created an original acrylic artwork for the project and personally signed the design used on every label.

Speaking about the initiative, Pride Cymru said:

"This has been a brilliant collaboration from start to finish. Goodwash approached us with a creative fundraising idea that celebrates our community while directly supporting Pride Cymru's work. Every candle purchased helps us continue creating safe, inclusive and welcoming spaces for LGBTQ+ people across Wales. We hope people will get behind the campaign and show their support."

Mandy Powell, Founder of Goodwash, said:

"Equality and equity sit at the heart of everything we do at Goodwash. Wales is the birthplace of the equals sign, and we are incredibly proud to support Pride Cymru through a product that not only raises funds but celebrates creativity, individuality and inclusion. To have Catrin Feelings, Dr Bev and Rosie O'Donnell involved has made this a truly special project."

The candle has been handcrafted at Goodwash HQ in Barry and will be available in limited quantities online and during Pride Cymru celebrations in Cardiff.

With more than 50,000 visitors expected to attend Pride Cymru this year, organisers hope the collaboration will not only raise valuable funds but also shine a spotlight on the power of community-led partnerships.

The Ffrwythau'r Enfys candle is available now via the Goodwash and Pride Cymru websites.
